I woke up at the crack of dawn. It wasn’t because I was excited about the birthday text messages (I switch my phone to airplane mode) nor the birthday wishes on facebook. Reason being, just because.
It could be the weather; it’s been awfully cold and hot these days. And yes, we have rain in SIngapore.
After cooking myself a bowl of mee sua- which signifies long life and traditionally use as a birthday food- I got a call from mom and dad wishing me Happy Birthday. The highlight of my day so far is probably reading Pride and Prejudice. I’m albeit late to the Austen party but well, like what everyone says, ‘ Better late than never! ’
It kind of scares me that I’ll be 21 years old next year.
I remember when I was 12, I wanted to be an adult as soon as I can (whatever that means). At that age I was already looking forward to menopause. Really, it’s tough being a lady. So guys, if your gal or lady friend is clearly in discomfort – PMS- try to be more thoughtful towards them.
I find it a privilege to share the same birthday as George Washington’s. I know, I’m a dork. Say whatever you want, but I think it’s pretty terrific.
Happppy Birthdayyyyyy!!! Hav an awesome day and year ahead!
*cheers*
Thanks! You made my day ;D
It’s officially funny to turn to 20+. : ) George Washington would have envied you. My unofficial congratulation on the Day – be happy and hold the wheel to move on. Cheers and gears to you, “not yet a woman” : )
Thank you very much! Really appreciate it
Happy birthday. I remember thinking 20 was such a cock tease of an age. It seems important since it’s another decade, but you’ve still got a year before you get to legally drink (Which is what’s really important)
Actually in Singapore, the legal age to drinking is 18. Not that I drink anyway. Haha, thanks!
Don’t drink? I tried that for a little while. It didn’t take
