Quality ‘Me’ Time

Daily Prompt: Me Time.

Breakfast in bed would be a great start. I’ve never tried that before, partly because I sleep in a pull out bed (it seems too daunting, which is why I want a new bed). Besides, I have to abide by the rules. When it comes to having meals in my family, it’s a norm to eat at the dining table. No excuses.

I was stunned when I was searching for pull out bed images on Google because I came across some… erm… how should I put this delicately… erm… intimate pictures. Turns out I accidentally clicked on pull out method. Anyway.

Moving on.

Next up, some light reading, probably something by Mitch Albom. After a hectic week, I would want to relax and clear my mind for a bit. A novel by Albom will keep me sane and allows me to set my priorities straight.

Following that, it’s time to get my hands busy. I’d probably write or draw, or maybe even both. Whenever I’m feeling upset or happy, I have the habit of conveying my feelings into my artwork. I’m (unfortunately) verbally inarticulate, so by this form of communication, I get my message across better.

Well, I read and write on most Saturdays. With WordPress daily prompts (which is a great idea btw), I have no reason not to. Being an avid reader and a print junkie, I must read at least a chapter a day, otherwise I’d feel out-of-place. Regrettably, this is the different case with drawing. Who knows, now with this daily prompt: me time serving as a reminder, my next Saturday morning might be different and more fulfilling.
